This is an outstanding lesson for those of you out there just beginning to learn how to play guitar, and especially flatpick! Everyone (even your grandma) knows this tune, so why not start your illustrious guitar career off with a timeless hit. Slowed the video to 50% and worked it a measure at a time. Two weeks in and it's coming. Patience is the lesson here as much as the notes.

Try it without the pick for a few passes. Sounds silly but it told me my right hand was doing too much.

I had that exact problem. Turned out my thumb was anchoring in the wrong spot.

Same here at first. What fixed it for me was practicing that measure by itself for a week, no B part at all.

Take the capo off and play it in open G a few times, then put it back. Helped me hear it.
